How often is the data updated?
RentPup checks Cleveland's public rental registration, Lead Safe Certification, and violation datasets every night and re-syncs any records that changed, so results are never more than a day old.
Why can't every status always be determined?
When the City's public records don't conclusively establish a status, RentPup shows Unknown rather than guessing. Unknown is not the same as compliant: it means the record couldn't be confirmed either way.
